Prints are an artist’s original work reproduced. While there are prints that come in unlimited supply, there are also prints that are rare and are available in limited quantities. Limited edition prints are often numbered and signed which adds to their value. There are prints that come out in limited edition and prints that come out in open edition. Obviously, the print in the limited edition can be more expensive. The prints can come from the modern or contemporary era. Some prints are also classified as antiques and therefore, carry a higher price.

There are plenty of subjects to choose from when purchasing your prints. An example of subjects include animals, fantasy, still life, people and portraits, landscapes and cityscapes, nudes and many more. The prices are dependent on the rarity of the print and the interest of the buyer in that particular style or artist. The prints can either be vintage, impressionist, abstract, surrealist, impressionist or pop art. Some of the more popular prints are those with historical value or those that were done by renowned artists in their field. An example will be the prints of the Titanic or a photo reprint in canvas by a well know photographer. The key to finding the perfect print is to focus on your subject of interest and your preferred style.
